Nothing more. If you were in end-stage agony, they wouldn't let you kill yourself. If they decided you were bad, for whatever reason or none, you would deserve to be killed.

Dems really need to understand these people better. It is all about them. ALL about them.

This may be hard to comprehend, but if Democrats had for some reason ended up in front of this Schiavo issue and started saying how Terry's 'right' to live had to be protected and that medical costs to society were no consideration, or whatever ...

Republicans would have swung like a flock of birds to take the other side and their echo chamber would have screamed just as loudly as they are now about how it's Terry's time to 'be with god' and it's a moral failure to force her to live for a bleeding heart agenda and how the government shouldn't be dictating blah blah blah ... It doesn't even have to comport with reality, like tubes being yanked out of people all the time against the wishes of the family.

It is all about them and their power to dictate to you. If Gore had tried to invade Iraq, and again he wouldn't have any more than Dems would have tried to force Terry Schiavo to live, they would have screamed bloody murder, just like any time Clinton tried to effect any exercise of foreign policy power. They get to exercise power over you. The other way around is shriekingly unacceptable. And they'll pick at anything, like a blowjob, to prove that point at all times.

This case is of a piece with impeachment, stolen elections, economic distribution, starting wars for 'freedom' or anything else. They are fundamentally committed to one thing: they get to decide.
