I know Long Island doesn't exactly represent the entire country, but i'd like to give out a message of hope to DUers :hi:
A huge majority of kids in my high school are very open minded, bright people
We've had anti-war protests, in which we walked to our local rep's office to give her a letter with our opinion on the state of our country's security, for which we recieved certain punishment..
Recently, a class went to Bush's "inauguration" just to keep up with the political happenings.. I'd also like to point out that, despite the money spent on the trip there, the students were NOT allowed to view their 'president' taking office :shrug:
