17. The entire segment is based on a bad premise: that the truth matters
to Rush or a Rush listener.
Every segment ends with the dittohead saying, well, "that may not be true but Rush's point is" blah blah blah. They never reconsider the validity of Rush's point just because his argument is based on false premises.
The truth of a factual statement is irrelevant to the point Rush is trying to make--a factual statement is just what you have to say in order to make the point. So pointing out the truth doesn't change any dittoheads minds.
Rush fans know its all a lie. They just think lies are necessary to win--they think the lie is all about fooling the OTHER guy. We get it time and time again from the righties. Franken should just ask his friend why the truth doesn't matter anymore to pubbies.
