I chose Mount Vernon because, after what I went through at my public school, I wanted a safe place to study. Of course, that was before I found out that no one was all that serious about learning anything other than the Bible. I had some wonderful profs who tried their hardest to actually teach, but for many, it was like four years of Senior High Camp at church.

Most kids had the parent issue, though, and by the time their parents saw what was actually going on (or the students did), it was too late to realistically transfer. I wanted to transfer after they banned the New Yorker magazine as pornography (long story), but I couldn't without doing at least another year in education, as none of my education classes would've been accepted.
