But there are not reports from "every precinct". The reports that I've read such as those mentioned here
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/2004votefraud.html don't come close to the amount of fraud or malfunctions needed to steal the election. The suggestion that it does comes from statistical reports such as the study out of Berkley about the Florida voting. But I see that study as flawed. When routinely some 50% of the population doesn't vote... it doesn't take much added voter participation to upset models. None the less I believe all reports of fraud must be investigated.

I never said that. All I'm saying is partisans will be partisans and want their side to win. No side has a monopoly on virtue. One side is motivated to collect and post all irregularities and the other side is content to have won. So what if the other side, despite its win, was trying to prove voter fraud on the part of Dems... what would THAT evidence be?

That's a comforting thought... except that how many Democratic districts have Republicans in place at the local level where they can so manipulate at will the results at as many precincts as you are suggesting? Are you suggesting that Dem officials were asleep at the wheel as GOPers ran amok?

I'm all for the investigations. I'm all for voter-verified audit trails with BBV. I also believe there were probably attempts at fraud on the part of both parties.
But I don't believe Kerry actually won the popular vote. I think Kerry lost because he was a weak candidate running on a weak platform. I also believe that as long as people focus on this issue, they are going to blind themselves to the intellectual bankruptcy of the Democratic Party.
