Political views and that the work was done more as an attempt to influence the rhetoric of leftists than it was an attempt to make money for NBC?

Are you sure you really understand how the media works? Are you stuck in Dumbfuckistan where you don't have access to a lot of information not approved by Clear Channel/Gannet/Murdoch media?
