Upon seeing clips from 2000 Wash U. debates w/ Gore--back then--I suspected Bush was on some sort of benzo in 00 debate. Xanax, lets say. Sedate. A bit droopy eyed. Too calm out of the gate. Forming words but not ideas slowly.

But several years of benzo use plays hell w/ short and long term memmory, compunding speech problems in many people. Many times beople who are on long term benzo treaments are presribed Adderol (sp?), an ADHD drug, that helps them focus. I'm not certain, but I believe the drug is similar to a methamphetamine but w/ a so called "paradoxical effect" in peple who are truly ADHD, i.e. does not speed them up but allows focus.

I've known two people, both in 40's, who were not diagnosed ADHD as kids/young adults who have been presribed Adderol in conjunction w/ Xanax after years of Xanax use was impacting their cognitive abilities. It allows them focus yes, but I could always tell when they'd taken to much. Speed like effect.

So, my theory continues, W is to the point now where he has to be fed lines in high visibility, non-folksy settings. This second go round, they thought they'd up his Adderol (taken for ADHD all along or now as an adjunct to mitigate benzo side effects.) They also said "uh-oh" and moved the receiver somewhere under the left armpit, but the antenna till had to snale up along right shoulder blade. (Weak spot in my theory: why it can't run down his side or aound front I wouldn't know). The result was the pacing, near maniacal perfomance of Friday. They could feed him faster and he could retain more of it and talk faster.

Just my pet theory, mind you...
