I was thinking about this letter earlier and it struck me that when you first came over here you had no idea how much you would like the people here, that they would draw you right in. In fact you could say, as perhaps your friend the Hurricane might, that you've been sucker punched. That is the only reason, after reading about the latest attempt at a contretemps, that I can come up with for you not leaving.

(of course the importance of the work you're committed to might also have something to do with it, but I do think you like us, well most of us anyway, too much to leave.)
