...and believe it or not I respect that.

You really ought to spend some time out there with the hoi polloi, as I do in a factory on a daily basis. ADVERTIZING IS EVERYTHING. Marketing makes markets. Show the proletariat something that they can snicker (two good looking women) vs something they show revulsion at (two grannies, or worse yet, two guys) and you've distracted them from the REAL issue.

Which is just what Bush, Rove et al do on a daily basis.

That does not make it right or correct, but you don't accept that, go out on the web and look up some old cigarrette commercials.
