25. Congratulations on you 1000th post...it will be quite a while before
I get there, love to read other DUer's post, but not as prolific a writer. Glad you saw the light. We are not all out to destroy big corporation. I worked for one and did very well. Without major businesses there would be no wealth or employment. However, there should be regulations so they cannot abuse their employees, take away their pension benefits, not discriminate in hiring, etc.

I don't want to take everyone's wealth and redistribute it, but if individuals have made their wealth not only from dint of their own initiative and hard work, but also from the benefits they had because of the opportunities they were provided by our government, which is funded by taxpayers, and by the employees that work for them then there should be some proportionate payback in the form of higher taxes.

I would never own a gun, but I would never suggest removing all guns from gun owners, although I have a hard time understanding why anyone needs an AK47. But there should be more control over who owns guns.

I do not believe personally in abortion, but I don't want to deny anyone the right to have one if that is their personal decision.

I am very concerned about our environment. I do believe that without strong federal controls companies would not voluntarily take precautions to limit the harm they cause.

Everything is not black and white, there are shades of gray in all issues. It sounds Iike you have found that out and are more in line with the Democratic point of view. Welcome aboard.
