Waiter..."I like your Kerry/Edwards button!"

We went to TGIF for dinner last night and as soon as we were seated, a waiter came to our table and said, "I like your Kerry/Edwards button! Look at MY button!" He was wearing a McGovern/Shriver '72 campaign button! I remarked that that was a "blast from the past" and he said, "Yeah, this button is older than me!" Me, in my mind...@#$%^&*())(*&^%$#@ LOL! Just kidding. ;) Then, I said, "Do you have a Kerry/Edwards button?" he said "no"....I asked him if he wanted mine and he said "You want to give me YOUR button?" I said..."Yes, I have a lot more. I wear it so I can give it away if I get any comments on it." He said "YES! I would love to have it!" I gave it to him and HE PUT IT ON AND WORE IT WHILE WAITING HIS TABLES! :bounce:

I told my hubby that his manager must be a Democrat or he wouldn't be allowed to wear political buttons while working. The place was packed and he was waiting on a BUNCH of people while wearing his new button. I wanted to give him one of my bumperstickers, but they were in MY car and we had taken my hubbies car to the restaurant. Darn it! I was going to ask him if he had gotten any feedback on his button, but I he was very busy when we left so I didn't bother him. One more Kerry vote...in a republican village! :bounce:
