Things have have been drifting to the right for how long? Is that the kind of change you're referring to? I remember when Carter enacted a good energy plan which was immediately trashed by Ray-gun. Now the roads are filled with gas guzzling SUVs and we have invaded and are occupying a country over oil. Time? Time is not a friend when you are drifting in the wrong direction.
