23. Reagan ended the Fairness Doctrine in 1987
This is just when right wing talk radio was becoming popular. The real President Bush vetoed an effort to reinstate it, and when Clinton tried to bring it back in 1993, but the talk radio hosts (led by you know who) bitched and moaned enough to keep it alive.
