8. Looks like the same neocon alliance that gave us the Iraq war is at work
This almost reads like an ad for a summer blockbuster: From the same Producer that made Pearl Harbor, here is the same cast of characters that brought us Iraq.

Let's not forget our friends from AIPAC:

AIPAC APPLAUDS CONGRESSIONAL LETTER URGING PRESIDENT BUSH TO RAISE IRAN NUCLEAR ISSUE AT G-8 SUMMIT

Washington, D.C.— AIPAC applauds both the House and Senate for dispatching strong bi-partisan letters to the President urging him to make Iran’s nuclear program a principal focus of the upcoming Group of Eight leading industrial nations (G-8) summit in Sea Island, GA. Raising this issue at the summit is especially vital, as the G-8 accounts for well over 40% of Iran’s international trade.

This effort, led in the House by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Joseph Crowley (D-NY), and in the Senate by Sens. John Ensign (R-NV) and Bill Nelson (D-FL), is particularly important given the recent revelations detailing Iran’s continuing deception uncovered by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and reiterated in its June 1 report. The report points to further evidence that Iran is concealing from international inspectors what the United States says is a nuclear weapons program.

“There is only a very limited time to stop Iran before the world confronts the realization that the leading sponsor of international terrorism possesses the ability to produce a nuclear weapon,” says the letter. “We hope that our G 8 partners, all of whom stress the importance of maintaining the international non proliferation regime, will take seriously their own words of concern about Iran and use their vast economic leverage with Iran before it is too late.”
