But you can't always assume that. I'm not shy about telling people to pipe down during movies, turn their cell phone off, or take their crying child out so that others can enjoy the movie, and that could have been the case. Now for a movie like F/911, you're going to expect some amens, just like you were would expect some screams during a horror movie so the old man could just have over-reacted (probably not when he slunked out), but he could just have been a crotchety old coot who wanted to listen to the movie and not some young whipper-snapper like you. :)
