but rather by a culture that conflates love with sex while at the same time demonizing sexuality.

Anyone of the boomer generation -- which includes Bill and Hillary -- will probably get a kick out of and gain some worthwhile insights from Susan J. Douglas's "Where the Girls Are." It describes how the culture of the 60s pushed us -- male and female alike -- in two directions, and how it's a wonder we aren't more fucked up than we already are.
