Bonds said it was because he was black. I think it was because he left via free agency. I don't remember the particulars.
I was actually there once when they booed Chris Sabo. I don't remember Bonds complaining. You're right. He's an asshole. He makes his good points from time to time, but most people don't take any of them seriously because of his assholeness.
