why has god not stricken our president down for his evil deeds?

having just viewed the president speak to a crowd of gung ho marines, my doubts about god are seemingly confirmed. here is a man lying about the most ghastly atrocities and lying about people dying and soldiers dying and invoking the holy name of god to round it all out.
...don't you really think that if there were a real god, of justice and mercy and righteousness, that he, or she, would smite this slime of a slug with a small bolt of lightning?

how could a god of benevolence and love allow a man like this to continue to destroy thousands of people, and bring a mighty nation to ruin? how could god suffer this impostor and phony christian to bring so much suffering and evil in the coming months and years?
why would the creator who loves all his children not stop this man?

how can god allow all this horror? how can we?
