That's my tack, too. I'm old enough to remember those years, and both my family and I, personally, took some hard knocks due to some of the things that happened for which he is either indirectly or directly responsible. That being said, he was a sick old man for a long time, and I respect some of the members of his family, however I felt about him. To watch someone die for ten years is an awful thing no matter what your political affiliation may be, and I do feel bad for them. Wherever the old empty suit is for eternity, it's surely a great relief for them to finally have it over.

Thanks, Skinner -- I've resisted both the 'grave pissing' and 'nannying' because I think you're right. The so-called mainstream media will have a whole lot more effect on all this than more polarized political messages boards, and no matter how much we wave our fists and proclaim the truth, we can't outshout the deification this week. Best to wait until the Cult Of St. Ron has its ceremony and then hit the streets.
