I appreciate where you're coming from, I do, but your understanding of the Law of Thelema: "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" is woefully unexamined and (ironically) literalist -- even fundamentalist in nature.

The "will" spoken of in Crowley's Thelemic law is the inherent and unique divine will of each sovereign created being. The belief is that through magickal discipline (which is a western parallel to eastern yogic discipline), one may gradually come to a knowledge of their own true will, and then live in accordance with that will.

If all beings lived in accordance with their inherent will, none would interfere with the orbit of another's life. It very much suggests a condition of non-interference which is almost Buddhist in character. You are misinformed and unread on this point at the very least.

I say this respectfully Bob, and encourage you to attempt a more scholarly approach to the occult material you refer to as a basis for your arguments.

The correct and complete wording of the occult philosophy of will follows:

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will...So with thy all; thou hast no right but to do thy will. Do that, and no other shall say nay. For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect."
