Bush showing megaweak leadership

My take on this Iraqi prisoner debacle.

I don't think there is any way of recovering from this iraq abuse and torture debacle the way bush is handling it.

Bush should have come out and given a very strong General Kimmitt-like apology and immediatly fired Rumsfeld to show Iraqi's that we are serious in regret.

But this delay in apology and telling rummy "don't let it happen again" is megaweak leadership.

What it shows is that they are in their standard M.O. in damage control.

Bush and many others HAD to know earlier about these photos and atrocities. The New Yorker was reporting such instances last fall for God's sake.

Bush called Rummy in for a talk so it would distance him from the controversy. To give the appearence of innocence. Then he comes back and reassures him of his job in public. He slaps him on the wrist. Makes everyone happy doesn't it?

Well, it doesn't, it's phony BS, this system of damage control is as transparent as it can get.
