you can call it what you will. I find it laughable that you claim to be such an expert on the motives of a person that you never laid eyes on outside of a newspaper or television. I also find it funny that you are calling me and Elwood liars just because we claim to have first hand knowledge. Did you ever sit with the man? Did you ever have a dinner conversation with him? Did you ever watch him allow a player back onto the team after getting headstrong and leaving? I doubt you did any of those things, but I did. All of them and more. He was a friend. He was a man who, like football coaches today, was more controlled by the football than he controlled it.

You want to walk a mile in his shoes before you go throwing about terms like 'racist'. You sir, show a small mind and a continuing lack of understanding. Undermining the character of a dead man whom you have never met and couldn't have the first clue about his motivations is indicative of someone with a closed mind. You form your opinion from what you've read...I form mine from what I have lived.

Now, take your opinion of the man you never knew and blow it out your ass.
