171. Greetings Mike!
I'm going to assume that you're based in the DC area -- perhaps we can have coffee some time and chat about what's so bad about having a backup count of votes. Surely you don't think that something as important as the foundation of the democratic process should be left up to technology. I mean, look how long it took for your friends at the FBI to get a computer system that wasn't a piece of crap.

I'm a Hysteric Librarian (thank John Ashcorft for that one) at a college with a high percentage of students who have emigrated from countries where bogus elections were a part of life. They can tell you how vital it is that a vote be deemed legitimate: Most of them saw dictators "elected" year after year while political dissidents, in some cases themselves or family members, were tortured for objecting to the SOP.

So, why don't you go join FINCEN or one of the other organizations trying to stop actual terrorists, or are government "technology specialists" no longer in the business.

Regards, Southpaw Bookworm
