Narcissists need to be more special than anyone else, and they're never content with what they have. If you're already the president of the most powerful nation on earth in real life, where do you go from there? After all, other people have been president, too (the horror). How do you define yourself as *extra*-special? Why, you're God's Chosen President. For...well, whatever it is. But whatever it is, it's Big.

and yet, he still spends nearly half his time home on the ranch, which suggests to me that the fantasy is the important part. You know, I think if they just struck him in a room with a VR-type video screen of an endless loop of screaming, adoring fans, he'd happily stay there forever.
