It's very very difficult under New York Times v. Sullivan (S.Ct.) for a "public figure" to sue for libel -- they have to prove that the statement was false, that the utterer knew it was false at the time it was made or that the utterer acted with actual malice -- intent -- reckless disregard for the truth.

Clarke is without doubt a public figure, and Arfin' Annie's comment would be cast as a public policy disagreement. He couldn't sue, and shouldn't anyway. Let the Pukes flail about and show the rest of America what actual shit they are made of.
