would you have been just as condescending to blacks fighting for their rights during the '60s? Believe it or not, people then managed to both fight for civil rights and against the Viet Nam war.

And on the subject of murder, you might want to consider that there have been many, many gays and lesbians murdered or maimed throughout the years. Just a few weeks ago there was mention here of a man who got only 1 year for brutally murdering a gay man in TN, apparently because he was SO traumatized by a pass.

If your energy is too limited to take on this issue, that's OK. We all have limited resources and have to make choices. But don't come and tell me that I should make the same choices you have because YOU don't think MY civil rights are as important as other issues.
