29. These are the things the Dem candidates should be pointing out
There is so much stuff out there to use against's just amazing how our candidates overlook so much. No one comes up with some different zingers...they address the same thing (not that the traditional issues are not important but gads! Can't they hit on some nerve buttons?). For example, increases in crime. Increases in gasoline, food, and housing, and make up taxes for Bush's huge tax cuts to benefit the wealthy...such as increase tolls, increased state user fees, and real cuts in the safety net programs for the elderly that the states run. AND HOW ABOUT THAT TRAFFIC! What is wrong with this country not to be supporting the development of a rapid rail network throughout the contiguous states? Just think how many jobs that would create? How about what is happening to our legal system because of the Patriot Act? Our candidates have to begin to be more visonary.
