4. Abolishing the FEC will only make the problem worse
The way to fix the problem of corporate money in politics, is to abolish private-party contributions to candidates. Neither individual citizens nor corporate citizens should be allowed to donate money to candidates.

Ever see the "Chicken Fucker" episode of South Park? Officer Barbrady resigned in disgrace from his policeman job and the whole town collapsed into chaos. Now imagine the FEC as Officer Barbrady. They're totally inadequate to the task (mainly because the task is not doable) but if they disappeared, the political system would be worse than it is. By far.
