Jimmy Carter came to awareness a little late on Central America, but he started withholding funds when he finally got the jist of how things were actually happening there. It's history. How could Obama be unaware of this?

The U.S. desperately needs to CLEAN UP its act regarding Latin America, not sink more deeply into a murderous replay of deadly past policy. The people of Honduras clearly do NOT want to go through this again and again. At some point, it won't work again, even if they have to sacrifice themselves in great numbers to buy their freedom, since they know they can't overpower US military power which will ALWAYS be involved one way or another, just like Iran/Contra, or the filthy managed coups and installed dictators, and reigns of terror since the 1950's in Central America (and South America and the Caribbean) at the great cost of many precious lives.
