38. I had an endoscopy.....acute GERD was the diagnosis
They put me on Prilosec 2X a day and the doc said I'd probably have to take it the rest of my life. I eventually changed doctors and was put on Tagamet. I think Prilosec has its place, but some doctors need to monitor better and think about possible side effects. You're right, it is a serious disease....I'm having real trouble right now, but I'm afraid to take Prilosec.
