I'm in awe of her ability to take concrete action in reponse to what was a personal and national tragedy. I can't help thinking that someday she should take on another role, such as running for office herself.

But I am very heartened to hear she is planning to back Kerry. She'll hold people's feet to the fire, and that's just what we need right now.

The political shenanigans in D.C. are so disheartening these days, what with the GOP leadership doing things like banning gay marriage and banning the District's gun laws. We need someone to take real action on national security issues. Breitweiser and the others will demand that.
