2. well, it was Al-Sadr who intervened on his behalf to get him released

so yeah, I think they know that, esp. since Four Corners Media that this journalist is affiliated with is an independent media organization, and he was there working on a documentary about the archeological looting and cultural destruction that happened during the war & the aftermath.
