22. Here's the original UPI article

"...The Pakistan Army consistently denies giving the militants anything more than moral, diplomatic and political support. The reality is quite different. ISI issues money and directions to militant groups, specially the Arab hijackers of 9/11 from al-Qaida. ISI was fully involved in devising and helping the entire affair. And that is why people like Hamid Gul and others very quickly stated the propaganda that CIA and Mossad did it."

Arnaud de Borchgrave may be a dodgy character, but I find the article quite persuasive. It ties in with everything else I've learned, which is that the Pakistani ISI were behind the 9/11 attacks (as they guided al-Qaeda) and the US knew about this, probably before 9/11, but certainly after. Either way, a massive cover up.

Note also this LA Times article, which quotes people within the 9/11 Commission saying Pakistan was "up to its eyeballs" in intrigue with al-Qaeda and the Taliban:

Then compare that with the 9/11 Commission's final whitewash report, which mentions the ISI like 4 times, most in a post-9/11 context. Remember that the Commission wanted a unanimous report, so if even one member didn't like something, it was out. Triumph of the bland.
