17. To answer many questions:
a) Yes, ball lightning would show up on radar. If you don't understand that, you either don't know what radar is or you don't know what lightning is.

b) Yes, it would be visible in the infrared. No, it wouldn't only be visible in the infrared under normal circumstances, but it could be if - for example - obscured visually by clouds, fog, or smoke.

c) Instances of multiple 'balls' of ball lightning are not uncommon. (Among appearances of ball lightning at all, that is.) Ball lightning displays a lot of interaction with its environment, which can often be mistaken for intelligence. It's not a well-understood phenomenon, but the recorded cases are quite clear.

d) The statement "Ball lightning could explain this" is not equivalent to the statement "Ball lightning is the only non-E.T. explanation for this." It's not hard to imagine others. Just to note.

e) Julio Herrera studies magnetic confinement of plasmas at Mexico's Center For Nuclear Research. That makes him an expert on the topic, and it also makes him a rather unlikely candidate to be a CIA mole, unless you think every physicist in the world works for the CIA. I could tell you if we do, but then I'd have to kill you. It's also hard to see why the CIA would go out of its way to give a nonstory legs, if they're covering up aliens.
