3. When I lived in Greensboro, NC, there was a one time
weird weather event. A storm came over the mountains with extremely strong straight line winds. It knocked trees down everywhere. These were huge trees.
Storms from that direction aren't unusual, but that one was unexpected. When people checked the damage, they couldn't find any evidence of a rotating force that caused the damage. There was no indication of tornados.
Strange days even then.
