32. oh, they "learned lessions" from Vietnam all right
they learned that the more the public knows about the reasons and costs, the less they are willing to support a war

they learned that one well. How much more popular the Vietnam war would've been if, instead of a phony Gulf of Tonkin, they instead sunk a few passenger ships, full of people, right here in our own waterways, in the name of "communism"
