| 84. Why can't one of the scientists just publish an uncensored copy of the original? |
|
Seriously, surely the report was written in Microsoft Word, so what's to stop someone from emailing it to themselves, or putting it on a USB stick, and then publishing it on the Internet & sending it to as many science & news sites as possible?
What's the worst that Perry's cronies/political appointees could do, fire the scientist? Obviously it's not worth working under Perry's appointee in the first place if they have to publicly protest it like this.
And if it violated some stupid law like stealing classified documents & disclosing them to the public Perry would just turn it into an even bigger scandal by prosecuting them. Plus I'd be willing to bet that enough citizens would be willing to refuse to return a guilty verdict for the crime of standing up to political censorship.
