14. I guess the "game of politics" completely precludes regret.
Obviously, I am no politician because, instead of covering my ass, I would state outright (if I had voted in favor which I totally would not have):

"I completely regret trusting this administration to the degree that I handed entirely too much power over to it without any expectation that it would abuse that power. In hindsight, I was utterly mistaken in giving up that separation of power that our forefathers wisely created to prevent precisely the kind of abuse that this administration has executed. I was mistaken in trusting this administration in lieu of passionately defending the weight of this branch which could have balanced this out-of-control administration. I will never, ever make that mistake again,...ever!!!!"
