| Bank foreclosures upon Kansas mega-church |
|
Source: KCTV 5OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) - A well-known, yet controversial metro church is closing its doors, but not for good. Founded by the Rev. Jerry Johnston, First Family Church will hold its final service next Sunday, Sept. 11. First Family Church sits on a massive tract of land off 143rd and Metcalf streets in Overland Park, and thousands of Christians call the congregation home. "In the providence and sovereignty of God, it has become clear that we must take a new direction. And our pastors have total peace," the church's board of elders announced on the First Family website. Read more: http://www.kctv5.com/story/15396276/overland-park-mega-...
