A sober, slightly embarassed Howard Dean admitted today that he had been sitting at the bar a little too long the day before when he gave an interview to The Hill.

"Maybe I should have told the waitress to hold the vodka, instead of the ice." chimed Dean, "I didn't realize that 4 hours could go by so fast as I waiting to do the interview. That last comment about the monkey was totally uncalled for. I don't know what possessed me to ever say something like that. I must have been thinking of Romney."
