8. There would probably be more takers for support groups
for people who have left or are leaving Catholicism. It is relatively easy to just forget a minority religion and leave it behind. You lose some contacts, but you will lose them anyway if you leave your religion.

I've seen some people who are pretty scarred by Catholicism. (I've also known some who were really helped by it. It's just that those who do leave carry a lot of baggage with them -- guilt and fear.)
