Gun owners have now taken up and are backing the cause. That's the point of the article.
We already know about book burning, now it's those people who can't spell "education" that are willing to kill to protect the books to be burned, that is news.

As a gun owner, you should know that when you shoot the intent is supposed to be to kill. Pulling out a gun to "protect" an action, is an indication that you are willing to shoot and kill.

It saddens me to see that you are the worst cliche of a gun nut(not to be confused with gun owner) - one who decides that what a group of other gun owners do has nothing to do with gun owners at all and how dare anyone bring that up - even though these gun owners' actions are what turns people against your carrying guns. You'd have been better to look down on their actions, not come off like an uneducated gun nut.
