He had me writing 100 dollar checks to his campaign the minute I heard him say that that needed to change.

I hate the fucking title, "Race to the top." Hate it. How about leveling the playing field so that all may have a chance to compete, or race to the top or whatever the hell WHEN GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL!

No, instead let's treat teachers like the one-legged man in the ass-kicking contest. Let's celebrate the wholesale firing of teachers who teach in the ghetto where the doors to their classrooms were more akin to sieves where children filter in and out of the program at random. That would drive me bat-shit as a teacher in these high-stakes testing times.

If you can convince me that his education agenda thus far is some sort of tiny progressive step in the right direction, I'll be glad to read all replies as objectively as possible for a guy who has been in the educational trenches these past 17 years.
