African-American vote for generations. Every Democratic president since has won over 90% of the black vote. In whipping up anti-immigration fervor, they're also whipping up anti-Hispanic fervor. This is apparent in the increase in hate crimes against Hispanics throughout the country in the last few years and the increase in racially charged vandalism and rancor that has torn Arizona apart these last few months. If they want to lose the Latino vote for the forseeable future like they lost the African American vote, they can just keep it up. Between blacks and Hispanics, that's about a third of the population; and if they think they can win elections with a third of the country solidly against them, fine. Maybe they can. But, this new law they want to introduce that a child can't be an American unless both parents are natural American citizens is aimed primarily at people of Mexican descent. They know that they are more likely to vote Democrat. They sure give a great deal of free passes to Cuban nationals, whom they know will be more likely to vote Republican.
