9. Definitely a bit of truth there
I've found that a lot of folks here have a completely different relationship to animals down here. I've seen animal dumping my whole life (my gram's 3 cat all came to her that way), but I've never seen people just move and leave a dog with a giant bowl of food and water under the porch and that's it. Hell, I was at a party last night and met someone who rescued an abandoned cat in her neighborhood, who it turned out had been spayed and DECLAWED. Who the fuck abandons a declawed cat? Another friend has a neighbor who just leaves her outdoor cat for days at a time, usually with no food or water, because she doesn't believe on spending money on pets.
