Exxon Valdez was minor league.
If this is finally correct, this would make the spill the 8th worst. I find even this estimate unbelievably low considering the extent of the slick, but I don't have any expertise.
If it is a correct estimate, though, the spill will become the 4th worst within the week.
And in about four and a half months, it will become the biggest spill ever, surpassing the Gulf War spill.
