154. Sad but true.
Heartbreaking taking the call from a widower who lost his husband and now has no Social Security. The widower never worked, now he's lost everything as his husband's family swooped in and took everything and tossed him out in the street with nothing. He was crying on the phone asking for immediate help. He went to the Salvation Army and was turned away. All I could do is refer him to private charity for immediate help as he begged me to not refer him to any churches because they slammed the door on him. So sad.
