sick elderly people, esp. when adjusting to their medications, can appear to be confused, some "authority" gets a power of attorney, and that's it, game over, their property is now under the control of someone else and they have lost their rights...

we live in a predatory capitalist society

the individuals working for the county go along w. imprisoning BOTH men -- note, the younger healthier man was also placed aga. his will in a nursing home -- because they ALSO profit, i promise you that they were allowed to loot the home of the "disappeared" possessions, anyone who thinks that stuff ended up in a junkyard is delusional, the employees got lots of stuff, undoubtedly sold some of it for good money, and now they're all implicated in the crime/cover-up because they've ALL profited from robbing the elders

that's my opinion how it happened and i'd be v. surprised if i was wrong

people in groups don't have much conscience, esp. if they are all dividing the spoils
