Frankly, if this bill didn't make it through, very little would change for most people. Whatever positive benefits there might be, it would take years to implement them, more than enough time for the Repukes to gut the legislation after either 2010 or 2012.

I see nothing but Pyrrhic victory possible, at this point I don't give a hoot what random Rethuglicans say about this bill.
