| 28. Once several students and two teachers from Oregon Episcopal School died on Mt. Hood |

When a blizzard closed in, the guide and one student hiked out to get help, and the rest dug a snow cave and piled in. They did not have a locator device, and the snow cave was hard to find. Only the two students at the bottom of the pile survived, although with terrible frostbite injuries.
This happened in May, 1986.
The mountain is extremely treacherous, and personally, I'll just view it from Timberline Lodge, thank you.
